Key Features
High Accuracy & Stability: The platinum (Pt) sensing element provides precise and repeatable temperature readings with minimal long-term drift, making it suitable for critical applications.
Reduced Lead Resistance Effects: With a nominal resistance of 1000 ohms at 0°C (compared to the 100 ohms of a Pt100), the resistance of the connecting wires has a much smaller percentage impact on the overall measurement.
Stronger Signal: The higher resistance of the Pt1000 produces a more significant change in resistance for a given temperature change, resulting in a 10x stronger signal than a Pt100 sensor, improving sensitivity and resolution.
Low Self-Heating: A higher resistance means a lower excitation current is required, which reduces the amount of self-heating in the sensor and minimizes potential measurement errors.
